In a recent article in Technology Review blog talks about some research at “Vanderbilt University have now developed an algorithm that mimics this kind of forgetfulness in robots…”

Robots could mimic human forgetfulness to filter out less useful information

This got me thinking what would happen in different scenarios in fiction where this might play out.
